[30 Second Class] What Exactly is the ILSAC Standard?

ILSAC full name: International Lubricant Standardization and Certification Committee; Like ACEA and API, it is the body that certifies lubricant product specifications and is jointly established by the American Association of Automobile Manufacturers (AAMA) and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), and its certification is commissioned by the American Petroleum Institute (API).

To date, ILSAC has developed specifications for GF-1, GF-2, GF-3, GF-4, GF-5 for gasoline oils, as well as GF-6 specifications introduced in accordance with the latest fuel economy regulations.

According to the figure below, the ILSAC standard and the API standard correspond one by one;

GF-5=SN,GF-6=SP.

The requirements of the ILSAC standard generally consist of two parts: API specifications and energy efficiency requirements. In other words, the ILSAC standard must meet the energy saving requirements in addition to the standards specified by the API.

Let's take a look at the features of GF-6 as the representative of ILSAC standard!

Ribang GF-6 lubricating oil, optimized and upgraded formula, has better environmental protection and energy saving effect than other products, ultra-low emission, improve fuel economy performance.

In addition to the energy saving effect, this GF-6 lubricant also has good wear resistance, can suppress low-speed early ignition, enhance oxidation resistance, protect the wear of the timing chain, and provide high-quality compatible protection for the engine particle catcher and three-way catalytic converter, to meet the needs of National Six, is your quality assured choice.
